Complete front brake backing plate 150mm*
The use of a 150mm wheel hub (MZ TS or RT) is a prerequisite for using the brake backing plate.
- Reproduction of the original GS75 brake backing plate

Note: For use in standard S51 telescopic fork with 12mm axle diameter, the standard wheel bearings of the hub can be replaced with bearings with 15mm inner diameter (e.g. 6004 C3 in conjunction with an adapted sleeve, etc.). This can be installed in conjunction with the axle for hub speedometer drive (VM308784). Optionally, a hub speedometer with adapter (VM309351) can also be installed. A sleeve with 12mm inner diameter must then be pressed into the brake shield itself. Alternatively, the telescopic fork can be adjusted to 15mm (MZ and GS dimensions).
* For Simson: The braking effect at the front improves significantly when used, as the MZ models have to brake significantly more weight (MZ TS = 105kg empty weight: S51 = 78kg empty weight) with the same braking force. If used on public roads, the operating license expires. However, it is possible to obtain a registration as part of an individual inspection.
For MZ: The external lever allows for significantly better adjustment and control. Furthermore, the braking effect is significantly improved compared to the internally guided brake lever, as the pulling force is transmitted more directly from the hand lever. Endless fiddling when attaching and adjusting the front wheel brake is a thing of the past.
